Aunt Anna returns

Today we got a visit from Miltons aunt, Anna. After about 5 months in Asia she is back in mother Sweden. She came with her mom, my stepmom, Marianne. After some chit-chat and tea we went to mom at the stables to surprise her doing her thing.

We all talked about everything new. Elina finished up her work and then took her last horse for a short run-down. We all were abit tired today from either jet-lag or the adjusting of summertime. I myself got too few hours, playing our monthly pokergame. Atleast I finished top 5.

Male role models

Having a baby-boy it is important for us to have male role models. Manly, masculine and stand fast men that can help us race and influence our precious little Milton.

Thank God we found all of this in our own family.

Night at the Grandparents

Last weekend we had a Persian New Year celebration. This weekend is the aftershock of that evening only this time at Miltons grandparents house. We had a few M.I.A's but most of us was there.

Milton got his first hug from his cousin, Lova, and also the first final in the Swedish version of Let's Dance (TV-show). Dinner was great with potatoes au gratin, chicken, african bean stew, persian style rice and gheime. Dessert was great too with donuts, ice cream and lingonberry/blueberry pie. Hat off for the chefs :)

Later this evening Milton got his first tantrum. I never heard him scream so loud and uninterrupted. My guess is a mix of stomach ache and being tired. He hadn't slept all day, almost.

Today we also got a postal mail about the registration of Milton in our Swedish government. As of today he is fully registered with his new name.

Statue of Liberty

Miltons cousin, Isabella, felt that Milton would be a cute version of the Statue of Liberty, so just because I can I will show you the result.

I must agree, he is the cutest version :)

Fathers day

Today Milton, along with Ma and Pa, are going to a place (Don't know what it is called even in Swedish) to sign papers for fatherhood. Since we are not married (yet) we have to sign papers that we are Miltons parents. I suppose Mom doesn't have to since the birth of Milton is a clear giva-away,

but the State wants to know the father. So in a few hours Milton will have a "real" dad and a new lastname, all because of a signature. I say:-"Who needs a signature when all one have to do is to look at his beautiful face to see his beautiful father" :)

China at our doorstep

Last night grandma came by with her man to visit and give gifts from their trip to China. Being the perfect tourist they did all the "have-2-do" things like the chinese wall, the square etc... of course they also did lots of shopping. Milton got his share, including an extra birthgift (can you figure out which one ? )

After 2 1/2 days off we still have 2 more days. Gotta Love the Swedish holidays :)

Persian New Year

Today Persians celebrate their New Year. If I understood the explanation it's not due to a persons birth, death, re-birth, resurrection or anything like that. There's also two different years depending on which New Year you want to celebrate. There's the old school version and there's the arabic version. If I understood it correct (again) we leaned towards the old school version (Year 2567 the beginning of the Persian Kingdom).

We were at moms grandparents apartment, with the closest relatives. We had lots of Persian foods (of course), sodas, treats and also presents. Apparantly it's a New Year / Christmas day. Being in Sweden the were also some easter eggs in the loop.

Helping Hand

Today mom went to the stables again but dad wanted to fix up the apartment, in general, and Miltons room, so grandma came over. The idea was for her to take care of Milton when and if he got cranky, but 90% of the time he was a sleep. Amazing.... I guess yesterdays 90% awake portion took its toll. I managed to clear up half of Miltons room, put away all of his 1976 pieces of clothing and mommys 7603 pair of shoes.... give or take.

Easter Get 2 Gether

We have now come to Miltons first easter, with my part of the family. Hopefully in the future (read next time) we will all be together, mommies and daddies sides, as a big family blob.

Milton met cousin Isabella and unkel Michael, sat on a 3-wheeled motorbike and got his first easter egg, filled with candy for the first time. I know who's going to buy Miltons false teeth once the candy has ruined all of his real teeth.

So, how was at this small get together ? That would be Mommy, daddy and Grandma, Great Grandma, Unkel, Aunt and 4 cousins á la small size. I loved the age span of this little get together, 2 months --> 94 years :)
