First video contribution

I finally sat down and learnt how to add a video to Miltons blog. These are just four random cellphone clip. I don't really have anything serious yet since I didn't know how to add the clips.

First Clip: Milton showing his precision..ism :)

Second Clip: Milton shopping at Willy's. Second time sitting in a shopping cart :)

Third Clip: Milton in Stockholm, sitting in his big-boy trolley.

Fourth Clip: Milton hypnotized watching TV.

Milton at work

Today I had to go to work and let in an external instructor. He had to fix a few things before his training lab tomorrow. Since Elina is working at the stables today I brought Milton with me. He sat in his older-child-walker for the first time. He seemed to like it a lot waiving his hands and he didn't fall a sleep once. He watched the subway come and go, the people walking on and off. Not a peep during the whole trip, 08:30-12:15.. He was truly a trooper. I bought him some winter glows on our way back because it is really getting colder now.

Mr Active

I've noticed lately that Milton has gotten more lively. He moves a lot more, reaches for things, bites, breaks, "talks", tosses and just tries to do all kinds of things.

Also, his teeth has come in plenty now. He has about 5-6 teeth that has broken the "seal" in his gum and about 4-5 others that are just below the surface, that can be seen thrue the gum. He has also started to drewl a lot more now, but only when he has stuff in his mouth. He is also a lot stronger in his legs, stomach and arms. If he continues like this he will be taking his first wobbly steps within a few months. Most likely before next year. I would certainly be surpriced if he didn't. He does stand in his walker now so it works as some kind of "training wheel" for him. That and a moving chair :)

Candy and Cake

Saturday.. Milton and I went to Nicholas birthday party. He's my friend and co-workers son who turned 2 years old this weekend. Milton was the second youngest child at the party. Wilma was the youngest with her 3 month. Since Milton can't walk yet, but do interact, he mostly sat in his chair looking, smiling and waiving his hands. Next birthday party he'll most likely be able to move around by himself and join in the fun. I mean, seriously... Who wants to sit with his dad thrue out the whole party :) ?

When we got home I gave Milton some toys I picked up when we bought a present for Nicolas (he got a giant football, or soccer ball for you americans). Milton got a fake phone and a sound-thing... kind of like a keyboard but not. He seemed to like both although he didn't seem to fully understand the purpose of the toy :) This was acctually Miltons first toy that I bought. I've just given him give-a-ways or hand-downs before. It only took 8 months to get his first new toy :)

Candyland

Friday... mom, Lars and I went to a store that sells only to other businesses like restaurants and such. Mom was buying candy for the cafeteria by the stables. Milton had never seen this much candy as he saw in that store. Of course, to this day he hasn't tasted candy yet and it will be a loooong time before he will. We all know that once the first bite is performed Milton will most likely become addicted :)

Growth Update

Yet again Milton, plus proud parents, went to BVC for a growth checkup. Our little guy grows right along his curves. No deviations at all. Our midwife also checked Miltons balance and his eyes for cross-eyes. One of Miltons eyes (left) sometimes go a stray. She couldn't see anything but we still got a date to go to a specialist for a diagnos and/or help if needed. I myself see it sometimes when he looks to the side but it might be nothing. Apparently babies can have some cross-eyed action for a while. We just have to wait for a judgement.

(Last Time/This Time)
Weight - 9450 grams / 9750 grams
Height - 69,5 cm / 70,4 cm
Head - 47,2 cm / 47,8 cm

Twist and Turn

Apparantly I have missed Miltons new trick. This morning when I sat in bed he was on his stomach in a different direction than his pacifier. He turned around in a circle and moved forward a few centimeters. His turn looked like no problem but his forward part seemed to be a bit tricky.

Next step: Crawling :)

Buzz me in, Buzz me out

Friday night and nothing to do... What is the next move in such a situation ? We chose to eat and play "Buzz" with godmother and family. It's a Game Show game with different ways to ask and answer questions in many different subjects. I was the constant second the whole night (pretty annoying and a bit amazing :). The first spot was taken a few times by the rest. None dominated that spot. Milton was with us for a few hours but then he had to go to sleep. The game is in Swedish so I can see Milton being a contender in it about 5 years :)

Two-Piece and Big Brother

Yesterday we took a trip to MVC (MödraVårdsCentralen) for a first check up. Mommy has a present for Milton. So far it is a small one but later on, it's going to get big. Mom is pregnant with Miltons little brother or sister. We won't know the gender until deliveryday. This time we said that we won't find out the gender... A little surprise.. I just hope for a healthy baby :)

Last night Milton slept in his first two-piece pyjama. I know it's not a big deal but he felt "bigger" in a two-piece then a jumpsuit. Maybe he thinks the same :) What ever he thinks, he was a happy camper all night. He started out the evening with a pose in his 2-piece.

Then showed his matching pacifier..

Then he seemed to get scared of the pacifier.. or even discusted..

Finally he just got silly..

Game Day

This weekend some of the fellas and I had a game day. Just us, beer, Wii, Xbox360 and Milton of course. While some of us enjoyed ourself with playing, so did Milton. He played...

Ride the slave:

&

Milton the Superman of all Supermen:

The rest of us played Bowling, Golf and Guitarr Hero... I did come second in Bowling but I chrushed my competion in Golf and Guitarr Hero :)

Damage Control

Yesterday we took a trip to future fellow in arms, Mandel. I won't go into the embaressing situation but I will say that we came two days late. Mandel had really grown into his jumpsuit so to speak since last time we saw him. Last time he just slept and drewled :) .. Kind of like Milton in the beginning. It comes at no surprise to me that Mandel is adorable. I can see Milton and him play "dirt eating"-contest in the future.

Water in My Ear

Today the family went on a trip to a close by swimming facility. It was an adventure version and Miltons first time "swimming" and bathing. The water was far colder then I would expect since it´s for small babies also. Milton didn´t seem to mind. He splashed, jumped and smiled. He even played with the squirting animals and the jacuzzi bubbles (It wasn´t really a jacuzzi. It was an area in the small pool that blew bubbles... like a jacuzzi). He also went on a tiny little water slide :) He was a true trooper.

Grandma and cousin Lova was also there. Lova started out a bit scared and careful but let loose later on. We stayed for about 1,5 hours before calling it quits. Taking care and changing myself and Milton at the same time by myself wasn´t the easiest. I only had one hand free the whole time... but like the commercial for Coca-Cola Zero said .. -"I´ll manage!"

Brush Routine

Since "Baby-Face" Milton now has gotten three teeth we desided that it is time to add on some routines. The past days he's been unusually restless/weiny and the most probable cause are all his teeth coming out. He's got more on the way.

We started last night with brushing his teeth. Very gently and not for long. We just wanted him to get a feel about it. He seemed to like it. He smiled, opened his mouth, sucked on it... I guess it felt nice on his aching gums.

Thank You - Card

Finally I got around to make the Thank You-card for Miltons baptism. I´ve been the worst host not doing this earlier. I'm sending them out today so everyone will have one this week. My excuse is that it was my first baptism and I haven't really known what I've been or should do. Next time I'll do better :) ... Sorry all !

Tattoos are forever

Milton has seen some tattoos on mom and dad but never as many as he saw saturday. We all went to a tattoo fair with godfather. We're trying to get some inspiration for our own future tattoos. I want something family-ish... I thought maybe Miltons face or maybe his name surrounded by old persian style text. After all he is 1/4 persian. After some hours at the fair I came to the conclusion that I need to go to a shop, sit down and discuss..

Milton looked around a lot at all the tattoos.. I wonder if he got a taste for it :)... Milton!.. Not until your 18 little fella !! :)
