Toothpaste Taste

No bedtime ceremony is complete without toothpaste on a toothbrush. Milton has already done the toothbrush a long time ago but never with toothpaste. I think Milton took it beautifully. First he played with the tube, then mom gave him a taste on the brush. In the beginning he made some faces but he quickly started to suck on it and show his appreciation. When evil mom took away the toothbrush and walked away, Milton got a bit upset.

Christmas Day !

So, it's over. Christmas Eve came and went. Christmas Day did the same. Almost everyone came and enjoyed some family time. The only persons missing were Damon and Jerry. Presents were given and food was eaten. I wish I could name the persian dishes but I can't so I'll just say turkey, rice and lots more good food.

I hope Milton and the kids had a good christmas, especially since it's their first (Lova's third). Milton was a bit mommy and daddy:ish from time to time but mostly he was smiling and laughing. I loved to see them run around. Milton with the support chair, but still. Next year we will have three kids running around and a fourth trying to. Maybe there will be another one in the making ? :)

It was good to see our family together at the same place.

Merry Christmas !

Miltons first Christmas.. 11 months old and 1 day.. not long until he gets presents again. He will become a gift-o-holic. He was so cute in his santa suit. We were at his cousins place with Elinas family. My family were scattered all over Sweden and Australia so they were out of the question. I do hope they all had a really good christmas, just like I hope you all who are reading this had one too. We did have a small Santa crisis but yours truly, with all the help from Elina and AC, came knocking on the window. I was dressed with cotton, scarf, blankett and a red jacket. I am pretty sure I fooled EVERYONE. It's not easy to drink whiskey when your cotton beard is falling into the glass.

Milton lived through his first Christmas, first presents from Santa and his first traditional Donald Duck show.

Mr Baguette

It's been some busy days for Milton and his ma and pa. We all went to Paris thursday 18th and came home 22nd. Ohh, so many new things for Milton. He did seem really bored from time to time but mostly he hung in there. He ate bread for the first time (of course baguette), he also ate some croissont. We went all over Paris, to places like Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triumph, Louvre, La Fayette and lots of smaller churches and historical buildings. Paris might not be the friendliest place for a baby (narrow streets, very narrow sidewalks, bad air, no babychairs in restaurants, few elevators, no baby stroller rails on stairs in musems, streets or subway.. etc) but it has some damn beautiful buildings... and lot's of cops.

Milton also got his first blood drawn. He fell on to the bed and cut his little lip (on the inside). After a 30 second waterfall he was okay. Mom and dad were mostly disappointed in the food. We tried two restaurant a day for five days and one got one home-run, the rest was a big no-no. The sad thing is that the restaurant that impressed us up to 5 star status was a indian resturant. None, could ever compare. This is so strange to because I have never seen so many restaurants, cafés and brasseries in my life. It was like gremlins been showering for a week (see the movie and you'll understand).

Another thing that was a bit odd was that it is the fashion capitol in the world but they all seemed to dress down. I think swedes dress better and french people smoke like there's no tomorrow.. all over.. all ages (kind of) I don't get it. Paris is a perfect beautiful city with trashy people and behavior. It is also extremly expensive. Even the christmas market had store prices. It was really sad. Luckily Milton doesn't have to care about that :)

All and all Milton seemed happy and enjoyed his first long trip abroad, his first flight and he came through like a champion. No fuss at all.

Milton VS Sheeba

It was the Clash of the Giants. They met, they sized each other up and finally they came together in a big ball of dust and pain... (or something like that)... Sheeba came visiting with grandma after being shaved. He's fur tried to kill him so we had to kill the fur. I didn't get to see this with my own eyes so I had to imagine how fun this must have been to see. Sheeba is a lot thinner without his fur, that's for sure. I was told Milton gave Sheeba non-stop attention... If I was there I would have done the same because he looks really funny.

It Walks !

Milton has finally taken his first steps with out falling down after the first two. Sure he is wobbly, sure he uses a walker, but he still walks. He can stop the walker from rolling away from him and balance himself when he's falling backwards. Mom is very nervous and won't leave his side when he walks but I guess I can't blame her. I think he's going to be able to walk without the walker within a month or so. Maybe even as soon as his birthday in about a month. Then again he might not because I noticed he loved to sit in it as well. Worst case scenario is that he won't get up ever again :) He looks so comfy in his pimped up wheels.
