Work Date

I have to print some letters on the activity we did last Saturday (June 28th). My entire job met up at our company summer house for some mingle, food and fun. I've seen the wifes before but not the children. Now we all got to see everybody. Milton was the youngest of them all with his 5 months and 5 days. We were about 25 grown-ups and 20 kids. The catering was GREAT.. (sorry Milton, you had to settle for Milk in a Bottle :)

After the company thing we went to the stables and then to grandma's house. I picked up my present I got for my 35th birthday. It's a pretty old clock. I am told there are only 12 of them in the entire world (I have to Google that).

Mr Happy Slob

It's been two days since we bought the Antilop chair and I must say he has taken it to himself very well or I am totally duped. "From milk in a bottle to porridge in a bowl" is the same as "From a clean face to a sticky messy face". As long as he seems to enjoy himself (like it does) I don't mind a little cleaning up around, and on him :)

Antilop

A new investment is done. A astonishing 148 swedish kronor ($1 = 6skr) has put us in a family bankrupcy. I went to IKEA in Kungens Kurva (the biggest in the world for those who didn't know that :) and bought an Antilop. The Antilop is a babyseat for the dinner table (mostly). It's legs are pretty annoying but the function is great :)

He has started to sit and eat like us. I love it... although I don't throw stuff on the floor like Milton does... :)

What is that ?!?

The time has come! Milton has gotten his first taste of food other the mothers-milk. Yes, he got a taste of a watermelon during the midsummer celebration but that was just licking on a small slice, not acctually eating. This time (yesterday) he got fed with corn-oatmeal. He is five months today so we felt it was time to introduce him to the flavours of the world :)

Look at the picture series for his reaction. I love the last picture. That really shows what he thinks about the food :)

Of course I can't help showing the after picture of Mr BigLips :)

Miltons 1st MidSummer Celebration

This past friday we celebrated Sweden's midsummer. Yes, it is early but the summer in Sweden is pretty short. We went to our very good friends Marcus and Rima. They have a small summer house near a big lake. We were about 15 persons including 2 kids. Lot's of food and alcoholic beverages all night thru. Some kept going in the sauna and took nightdips in the lake.

This was Miltons first midsummer celebration and also he got his first taste of something else then milk. He didn't seem to mind. He acctually seemed to like the taste :)

Inka Warrior or Gangsta ?

When we have to much time on our hands we do stupid stuff. How about a look-a-like contest ? See how easy it is to make a gangsta into a legite Inka Warrior...

Milton the Alien

Sometimes when it's cold or windy (like last thursday) drastic measures are inevitable. Luckily Milton didn't break out thru my ribcage... That would hurt... (just a little bit).

The Camera don't lie

I see a pattern. After a surveillance mission last week, I now know who Milton is taking after.

Cavalcade of Miltons Week

Just because I can I've put together a cavalcade of pictures from this past week. They are all taken with my new cellphone. My last cellphone took alot better pictures but my current cellphone actually works in general. I feel that's a bit more important :)

Miltons best friend

Milton is big enough to suck out his own snot.

Looking sharp in his car seat.

Miltons fashion statement, beach 2008.

Why suck a tiny foot when there are bigger once ?

Just woke up with a pacifier mouth :)

Caught in the act!

Fever

It finally happened. First sickday for Milton. The side effect of the vaccination monday is fever. Last time he didn't get a fever but this time he did. We noted 38,6 degrees Celsius on tuesday. He was like a small fireball :) Being sick and all he was very happy but he didn't run any sprints.

For the (picture) record. Here's the first sickness moment in Miltons life :)

Growth Update

It was that time again. Monday was the afternoon of terrible pain. One shot in each thigh. Vaccination is never fun. This time we acctually used our videocamera to immortalize the moment. Evil I know :) .... First the smiling and happy arm waiving then a frozen moment followed by a "very sad boy". I think Milton took it well. He stopped crying about 30 seconds later.

(Last Time/This Time)

Weight - 7375 grams / 7925 grams
Hight - 64 cm / 65,5 cm
Head - 43 cm / 44,4 cm

The Long Sunday

Last weekend, on sunday, we went to Grams house to hang out and eat barbeque (again).. One can not have to much of a good thing :). Milton was a little bit more difficult but not to much. We've been shopping the whole day with him so he was "over the edge" tired.

We met Wilda who has turned.. about 2 months now. She's still got a full set of hair... Milton lost his hair the first week and hasn't gotten it back. Nature is evil.. but on the good side, he looks more like his dad that way :)
