Ice Ice Baby

We got back from minus in Finland to plus in Sweden. We had a couple of days of plus and near plus but now it´s back to minus... big minus. It's been snowing and the cold is really here and it shows outside. It's not often I see snow, ice, frost on the trees, especially so even, all over. Inside the boys play and laugh, outside.. it's cooold.

I love this weather. In december/january this is a "have to" weather. If it's not like this it's not real christmas/new year.

Guess which balcony is ours ?

Last Day Of Finland

Only hours left now.. 13:30 we left for Sweden. Before that mom made a gingerbread house with a gingerbread tree, a gingerbread lantern and a gingerbread horse. Milton and baba bozorg had several farsi lessons, mostly bodyparts. Words like nose, cheek, ear, hair...

Before we left for Sweden we stopped by great grandfather's grave. His stone had arrived and replaced the temporary wooden cross. The stone was really nice with a hole inside for candles. Milton and Denver got cleaned up and Milton got to show his curly curles once again :)

Lot's of good bye's, handshaking och hugs for all today.. This trip is over.

Christmas Day In The Snow & Kitchen

Milton opened his eyes, got his morning formula and went straight to his new "kapakapakap" with "hapfff" (tractor with trailer).. Yesterday was great. Milton got scared when he saw Santa get into the house, then he claimed his own presents and finally he hugged santa good bye. Now he plays with his toys and of course with his cousins, Lova and Wilda. The whole day is a day of relaxation and play.

We went to the slopes right next to the house for some sledge riding. The tempature today's -18 celsius so we only stayed outside for about 45 minutes. Denver didn't ride anything because he slept the whole time... maybe next time.. Later mom and the kids made som gingerbread cookies. Milton, Lova and Wilda loved it. Milton even loved the paste which he tried to eat the whole time.

Denver missed most of the activities but one thing that's new with him is that he is so much more with us. He sits up, tries to stand on all four and crawl (he can only crawl backwards :). He also plays with toys and seems very interested in shapes, sounds and movements. Still after 8 months in this world he still let's anyone hold him without a sound. Milton cried, from 6 month, if anyone unknown held him.

God Jul

God Jul Milton, Peter, Elina och Denver önskar Fredrik och Rebecka.

Christmas In Kouvola

Christmas 2009 is here. Milton and Denver will both have their first christmas abroad. For Denver it´s also his first christmas ever. Counting a first for Milton would be that he got the christmas gifts from santa claus by himself.

Today we woke up in Mikko's room around 07.00. The day started like any other but today we got to meet santa. In Finland it's custom to eat by 13:00 and to relax in the sauna for awhile. Santa came around 17:00 and for the rest of the day all the kids played with their new toys. The whole gang consisted of great grandmother, her sister, mummi, baba bozorg, mummi's brother, unkel Ramin with wife, cousins Lova and Wilda and of course us :) We were a total of 13 persons and one dog, Molly. It was one of my more treasured christmases ever. Our family and traditions are forming :)

Today it¨s not only christmas it's the day of Elina's and my engagement. Today I asked the woman of my dreams and the mother of my sons to marry me... She saíd, Yes :)

Preliminary we are aiming the knot for 2011.

First photo of Elina after I asked her to marry me.

The Day Before Christmas

Our trip to Finland has now started. We arrived at Kouvola today so we had to rest for a moment. Milton was on top of his game right after his nap. He showed great grandmother how cold it is outside... "Brrrrrrrrrr..."

Later on we took a trip to central town for some last minute shopping. In Kouvola nothing is open between the 24-26.

Maja 2 Years

Milton´s girlfriend from the open-pre-school turned 2 today. She had an open-house so that anyone could come at anytime to say Hi. Maja isn´t at the open-pre-school anymore, like Milton is, but they still see each other from time to time but not as much as before. Maybe we can celebrate New Years together ?

Denver was at his first out of family birthday party. He seemed to have lot´s of fun with toys he´d never seen before. He loved the pink squichy-toy and Milton´s orange ballon.. He shook all over when he was close to it. Denver was on top of his game today. I fake fed him birthday cake and he just laughed and laughed. Maja had really grown since last time I saw her.. probably about 2-3 months ago. I do wonder when she starts to speak. So far she doesn´t.

Aussie Visit

Soon Christmas 2009 will be over us. We all will bring gifts but Aunt Anna brought something else too, two Aussies. As you might remember Anna studies in Australia but has been at home for about 6 months. She´s been doing some long distance studying. 4th jan next year she´s going back (first to Thailand then to Australia). I don´t know why or how she could convince two guys from down under to leave the heat and dive into freezing cold and snow but apparently she did. My boys first meeting with aussies and people speaking english. They didn´t seem to mind thoe. They were as cool as ever, playing and running around. I introduced them to finnish beer KARHU, swedish Glögg (21% out of cognac), 21 year old whiskey and some shots. When in a new territory you need to try some new stuff :)
