Blow It Out Your Nose

Today Milton did something new and funny. Mom and I sat in the bedroom with Denver when Milton came in. He went to the dresser and picked up a roll of toiletpaper we use for Denver when he throws up. He tore of a piece and walked around blowing his nose on the paper. I thought he was playing, just mimicing me blowing my nose (I have a cold so I´ve been blowing my nose pretty often these last two days). After a few times I wanted to help him a little bit. He didn´t press the sides on his nose so the pressure didn´t build up much. When I leaned over I saw he got one piece of snot out... Congratulations on your first nose job, son... I took the piece of paper and threw it in the bin. Milton went to the roll of toiletpaper again and tore off another piece. Now I really thought he was playing but he came by my chair again with another ball of snot on the paper. That was pretty cool, seeing your son blowing his own nose :)

Car Cart

Milton and I went to the store today to get some supplies. First we went to a handyman store to get paint and such. After that we went to a food store. In that store they had some carts with built-in cars. Milton seemed to like them so I took one of them for a spin. He had never been in one of these car-carts before. It´s more fun for Milton in a car insted of in the cart. Of course once we were done he didn´t want to get out of the cars. I teased him a little bit, saying we needed to go... just long enough to get some film of his protests :) Sorry son!

A Quick Visit

Two days ago we got a visit from grandmom, great grandmom, aunt and her two youngest. Aunt Susanne has just passed her driving test and got her license. She´s been taking lesson from a school and from me. This was her first trip to us with her driving alone. She hasn´t got a car yet but she´s thinking of buying one (hope you find a nice car, sis).

Well, congrats sis, now you can take your kids anywhere. This was also the first time she saw Denver. It took three months after his birth but now that´s out of the way. She was the last one to see Denver in our family. Love to see great grandmom healthy and fit.

Milton was running around with Anthon and William. They brought lot´s of cars and some action figures to play with. Milton wanted to play with them too so he kind of was their tail the whole time.

McVisit

Today my friend Lars came by to say Hi. He just got his motorcycle license so he´s riding his bike practically every day. Milton and Denver was climbing all over. Milton was a bit shy at first but after that he ran around the apartment, climbed on Lars and just playing around.

Daddy? Uuuaahh? Mom!!

Milton is growing and he is doing new stuff all the time. For some reason he has started to call me Mom and mom Dad. I put him to bed tonight and after he had his gruel he took his pacifer out of his mouth and yelled "Dad?!" (pappa) and looked at the door to his room waiting for an answer.. I said "Daddy´s here.... Mom and little brother Denver is in the livingroom". Milton looked at me and said "Uuuaahh?" (That´s what he calls Denver. It´s because he screams sometimes) I answered "Yes, Denver is in the livingroom". Milton looked at me again, his brain started to figure out something and then he turned to the door again and yelled "Mom?!"

It was so cool because it felt like he took in the information, processed it, got an answer and used it. He´s my little dude :)

Playtime At The Stable

Today we went to the stables with mom... The whole family. In a few days the owners of the stables will enter a competition so they were there with their kids fixing their truck. Milton played with them, and around them. Denver mostly slept.

Blessing Of Little Brother

On the 19th Denver got his names blessed and presented to god and his relatives. Denver got baptised on the beach of our family vacation house in Finland. Great grandmother Mummi, great grandfather Ukki, Godfather Ramin with daughters Lova and Wilda, Mummi, Grandfather Houshang, Unkel Michael with daughter Isabella, Cousin Chris, Grandmother Margaretha with boyfriend witnessed the ceremony. The priest was Jyrki and I must say he did a great job. He was more of a funny friend then a stiff religion man. It took about 15 minutes and ended with a song from a tape recorder (a child sang a song). Everything was done in finnish so I of course I didn´t understand a thing. I guess I have to learn finnish soon. We missed Aino. We do hope she´s feeling fine.

Sadly my big camera broke..! Yep, it did.. so I couldn´t take a single photo.. well actually I could take 1 photo and then it broke. I will get some photos from grandmother Margaretha and unkle Michael since they had their working cameras with them. I did take some before and after photos with my cellphone but it´s not very good. It´s a 5mb pxl but that doesn´t really matter in cellphones. I´ll post/change/add some photos after I get them.

Other things of interest...It was Denver´s first summer in Finland. Milton played in the "ball ocean room" on the boat for the first time. Milton ate at McDonald´s for the first time. Milton also bathed in a blown up pool for the first time. The first piles of sand was laid. We ordered 10 more piles for next summer. The start of the house development begins this year. About half of all trees on the lot will be cut down later this year. We used Viking Line for the first time (a ferry company). We bought a DVD player for the kids, to use in the car.

No!

Usually we drive our car to the store, to the stables and .. just to.. anywhere. Sometimes we don´t want Milton to fall a sleep since he´s got his sleeping hours to go by. Usually mom or I ask Milton if he´s a sleep but we don´t get an answer. Then we try to touch his head in the backseat to see if he´s moving. Today we did the same but this time, when we asked if he was a sleep, he answered, -"No"... It was awesome :)

Hello, Mrs Clown

It took Milton 1,5 years before he met his first clown. He was a bit careful getting to close but atleast he wasn´t scared. He got to pop some bubbles and he also got a ballon from the clown. Milton met his first clown by accident. We went back to the hospital to pick up some clothes we left when Denver spent the night the other day... Maybe Milton can teach Ramin how to deal with his fears... of clowns ;-)

Abandoned Kitten

This past saturday mom came home with a kitten that was abandoned. It was just skin and bones. It was just laying in mom´s arms with empty tired eyes. Mom had taken home two kittens about a week ago in the same condition from where she has her horses. Those two was more active and screamed for food, this one didn´t. The kittens were three from the start but when their mom got killed by a combine harvester, another cat adopted one of them. We think it is that one she found now, abandoned again. Milton got a quick look at it before I took it to the vet emergency room. The vet took the other two kittens a week ago and gave them homes. One of the vets took one home. This cat they couldn´t give a home so once we get back from Finland I will go and pick it up. They said it will most likely be in good condition by then. Maybe we´ll keep it or give it another loving family. It´s very cute and deserves love and life.

Poop, Banana and Grapes

Milton´s growing to be a little person every day. These photos were taken a few days ago. He likes to sit on the big toilett like mom and dad. He now eats banana holding it like a big person.. but he does have one thing that´s a bit odd in my book. He also likes to eat in the bathroom. Like a few days ago I gave him water and grapes on a plate and he walked into the bathroom, sat down and started to eat. Don´t really know why he would do that but he does and like I said, it´s not the first time. I know mom will freak out when she reads this since she´s got a thing for bathrooms :)

The Sisters

A few days ago my co-worker and friend Peter came by with his two daughters. I didn´t think Milton would play with them much because he usually don´t play together with other kids. At most he points and/or switches toys with them and then plays alone. This time he tried to connect but had little success. The two sisters were a play team. The younger sister tried to do what the older sister did and Milton kind of got set a side. He still seemed to enjoy their company. A nice break from stuffy old dad :)

Skype-ing With Aunt Anna

Every other week I skype with Anna, Milton and Denver´s aunt. She lives in Australia for a few years studying. Milton usually runs around pointing at the screen playing with his stuff. Anna comes back home for a short while in august. She hasn´t seen Milton in real life since he was about 5-6 months old.. She has never seen Milton´s brother, Denver, in real life.

To the Zoo

Today mom took the kids to the zoo. With her came fairy god mother. I stayed back home painting some things in the flat. Once we find a new home, a house, we need our place to be nice and fresh. The fresher it is the easier to sell :)
