A Grand Visit

Two days ago we all went to visit great grandmom and great granddad. The whole family went.. I love the fact that we are four in our family now... it feels so big and serious :) Mama and Baba bozorg are leaving for Iran any day now. We wanted them to meet Denver a few times before they go since they will be gone for about 5 months.

Milton ran around eating grapes while the rest of us talked about Iran and Denver.

Milton's New Friend

All Milton's friends are from open pre-school. He's been "playing" with our neighbours girl, Maja, but now he's also been at another girls home. Milton hasn't actually been at Maja's home but Maja's been at Milton's home. Savanna lives close by in a house and yesterday when Maja was there and played with Savanna we took Milton and walked over. They are all three very different... Maja is usually very calm but right now she's a bit daddyish and cries easily, Savanna just got a baby brother so she's a bit "mine" right now, taking toys from Milton's hands while he's playing. Milton is a push-over giving up toys, taking new ones, walking away and such :) Three kids around a year old and they are so very different... already... interesting.

Bird Watch

Milton is learning about animals and one animal that intreagues him is the bird. Yesterday he saw a couple of pigeons. He started to walk after them. That was the first time he's done anything other then just look and point. I guess our next job is to teach Milton not to chase or scare animals :)

Wilda 1 Year Old

Happy Birthday Cousin Wilda !

... Milton's first birthday where he isn't the main attraction or the youngest person. It was also Milton's first birthday after his brother, Denver, was born. Milton was everywhere.. He played in every room, interacted with most of the guests, played in the yard, sat in a swing for about 20 minutes.

On The Wall

I forgot to mention it but earlier this week we picked up a framed canvas picture of Milton. It's on the wall in our entrance hall. It's perfect. I photoshopped the photo making it gray and cutting out grandmom's bracelet and gave it colours. It was worth every second and every penny.

Finally Spring Is Showing Itself

We've had some warm days already but yesterday was the second day Milton could walk with a long sleeve, no hat and still be warm. Spring has also started to show itself with flowers popping up everywhere and the ground is starting to become really green. Milton really love going out and the last week he's been ever happier and I think it's because he's not wearing so much, more things to see and the sun is caressing his face.

Texting The Message

It's not really a big thing but we talk and joked about Milton's first text message he made last tuesday. I won't dig more into it.

Milton & Maja

Milton came home after spending two nights with grandmom while Elina gave birth to his little brother. Once he came home he hadn't slept and was seeking some attention so I took him outside to play with our neighbour Maja. After about 40 minutes we went back in and Milton feel almost right a sleep.

Milton & Denver

The time has arrived. Daddy now must write two blogs... Milton's little brother came to our world yesterday at 09:58 and today Milton got to see and greet him to our family and home. I truly hope they will get a long and love each other. Only time will tell if Milton will get jealous not being the only attention catcher in our home now.

Milton's First Guest

Today Milton entertained his first guest. Our neighbour Maja with her parents came by and played in Milton's room for a few hours. They didn't really play with each other but they played next to each other :).. that's a start.

3rd Time the Charm

I was so proud of Milton so I just had to put this video on his blog. Just his 3rd time putting "mushrooms" with pins on a plastic "plate" he already looks like a pro. He learns fast :) The other two times he first didn't pin a single mushroom on the plate and the second time he put a few mushrooms on the plate before he lost his concentration. Third time he just kept going :)

Milton the Action Man

Milton has really started to become more and more active this last week. He walks, dances, does stuff, talks (jibrish), tries stuff and so on... here's some clips of him in action this past week.

First Scratch

Today Milton fell walking home from open pre-school. He got his first wound from walking. I guess it wont be his last, running around like he does all the time.

Sad Moment

Last night we went to mama and baba bozorg to pay our respect. Yesterday Marian, a cousin to Elina, a grandchild to mama and baba bozorg died in a car crash just 29 years old leaving a husband and two young children. She lived in Iran so Elina did not have a close contact with her, but mama and baba bozorg did. Milton really lighten the mood, when we all met this sad moment, with his smiles, his "bubbli-bubbbli"-talk and his contact with mama and baba bozorg. Without him sadness would have been total.

Rest In Peace Marian. You might be gone, but you will not be forgotten.

Sunday Barbecue

Sunday we had an invitation for a barbeque at Elina's cousin, Damon's, place. He lives in a apartment so the actual barbecueing was made outside the window. The result was great. To bad Milton had his own food from home.

I just had to take the photo of Milton's hair because it looks so odd... almost like a wig :) We prepared Milton for his bed at Damon's so once we left Damon and his friend Tina, it was straight to bed for Milton.

The Long Walk

Mom went to work at the stables saturday so Milton, Dad and family friend Lasse went to the park. It's a big park with a butterfly house (which I haven't seen yet). The weather was to beautiful to stay at home. It took about three hours before we came home again. We all slept great that night.

Friday Part II - Family Dinner

What's easter without a family dinner. It was nothing outside the ordinary. Good food, drinks, kids playing, grown up talking. One new thing was that Wilda has started to walk for short distances. She could also stand up and dance by herself :) We had a little talk about the summer house in Finland and the development we are planning for this summer. Nothing is set but it looks like we will go in July. Doing the beach is a must this year :)

Friday Part I - Obstacle Course

Usually I play fieldhockey on fridays but since it's easter and most of our players decided to stay at home with their families, Lasse, Milton, Elina and I went to a nearby military obstacle course. I felt that I needed to do something and Lasse was on the same page. We ran 3 laps before closing it up with a short run. Milton.. well... he slept through the whole thing. He was only awake on the way there and after we were done.. That's a good way to ditch practise :)

I loved that obstacle course. I gotta do it at least once a week thru summer, coming autumn.

Milton Returns

After a long day of changing windows mom went to pick up Milton at grandma's. While dad was cleaning up the mess after the change mom and Milton stayed at grandma's and later on played for a while outside our building in our playground. I took a quick pause to take some photos of Milton playing.

New Windows For All Of Us

Milton slept without mom or dad for the first time last night. He's at grandma's place because we are getting new windows in our apartment. They tore down the old once so it was pretty loud. The result will be better ventilation, modern windows, new shades, better soundproof and it keeps the warm air inside better. They will be done around 13-14:00 today and then Milton can come back.

It's good that Milton is apart from us sometimes so that we can spend some time together alone and also.. X will be coming soon and Milton can't come to the hospital.

We both said farewell to our suicide pigeon window. The only sad thing about our new windows.
