The Circle Is Closed

Milton´s last way to splash and bath has been done. He´s been in a indoor pool, natural outside beach and now an outside pool. Maybe I missed some version but I don´t think so, unless you want to go into details like gravel beach, sand beach and such.. I don´t and I won´t. Today we had some cool breezes so the heat wasn´t as pressing as yesterday. Milton got his first sun eczema, on his chest, although he had his sunblock 50 on (atleast it looks like sun eczema). If the sun peeks out yet again tomorrow, Milton will be wearing a T-shirt.

We don´t have many photos of both Milton and Denver together, so I took this today. Got to love them both.. They are so beautiful :)

Sun Kissing

I watched the weather this morning. It´s going to stay hot for the major part of the week. Yesterday we took Milton, Denver and Maja to the lawn so that they could run around naked and sit in a small plastic tub with water to cool down. Well, not Denver but Milton and Maja. Thanks again water resistent sunblock 50 :)

We had a pineapple snack before we called it a day. Next time we´ll bring the inflatable pool. It´s bigger, has a slide and a fountain. This was Milton´s first naked playtime and with a tempature of 30 degrees celsius I couldn´t see a better time for it.

Soft Ice Cream

After the beach yesterday we went to shop a quicky. We bought some soft icecream to cool us down a bit. Milton got to eat some too. He didn´t really get much because he licked it with his small tounge and half his face. He did get the taste of it and he seemed to like it. It was his first soft ice cream.

Taking A Dip

The heat is amazing. It´s a heavy, pressing, moist heat with no clouds at all. We just had to go to the lake a few miles from our apartment. We do have a lake near our apartment but this one is by a camping site so there´s sand, stores and some bridge decks. Denver laid in the shade the whole time. Most of the time he slept. I don´t blame him. The heat sucks the energy right from your body. Milton slept the first 30 minutes, then he was all over. He walked around on the beach, the water and "talked" and "waived" to people everywhere. He really loved it and couldn´t get enough. Thank G for water resistant sunblock 50. After about 2,5 hours we went home.

This was Miltons first beach and lake dipping in Sweden. Finland was his first dip but there wasn´t a beach. This year we will build a beach.. I just know that Milton will love it.

Working Boy

I´ve started to freshen up our apartment so I have some paint and brushes on our balcony. Milton likes to play/use them. Maybe painter will be his future profession ? I mean, grandfather was in the business for about 40 years.

Mall Time

Yesterday the family went to Täby Centrum. We met up with grandmother. Milton hasn´t been in Täby Centrum much but he loves to run around in it. It has lot´s of space, glass walls, turning doors and his favorite a bus stop central. Lot´s of buses passes Täby Centrum. He just stood there saying "buss, buss, buss" (it´s "bus" in swedish... tough one right ? ;-)

He also got to eat a small piece of carrot cake for the first time.

Café Sjöstugan

A couple of days ago our neighbour, Fredde, with his daughter Maja and Milton and I went for a walk. Just below our apartments are a trail by the lake. We walked to Kafé Sjöstugan (Café Sea Cabin) so that we could enjoy our lunch in the sun and by the water. The weather the past days have been great and it will continue if you believe the weather people.

Loving The Dentist

Today we went to the dentist to check on Milton´s lower teeth (jaw). Tuesday he fell on the coffe table hurting his mouth. He bled on the lower lip and he had blood on his teeth. Since we don´t want to take any chances we checked him out.

He really didn´t like to sit still. I had him in my lap while sitting in the dentist chair but he screamed and fought back. The dentist did manage to see that the teeth are fine. Nothing is needed to be done. Now we just have to report it to the insurance company so that we can get the job done for free in the future, if something is wrong but was overlooked.

Flat Excursion

Yesterday we went to meet up with grandad and his wife at their new flat. After his retirement he sold their house, boat, business and built a house up north in Mora. In Stockholm they decided to have a flat since they won´t be living there as much. Right now they are painting the walls and ceilings because on friday people will come and build a new kitchen and put in new floors and tiles. This was our first look at their new flat. The funny thing is that they want to live on the top floor so this renovation might be done "for someone else" :) As soon as there´s a opening they will move.

How Lovely

This past friday, the day before midsummer, we went to Norrtälje to buy and pick up our new horse. It´s a one year old mare and she´s mom´s new project. Now mom has to train three horses, but she can only compete with two of them since a horse has to be atleast four years old to be allowed to compete. This horse is the first horse we bought since Milton and Denver was born. It was fun to see how the other horses treated her. It went great and she is now accepted.

Twirly Boy

Milton has been dancing a lot. His favorite song is La GaGa with Pokerface. Now he´s learnt to spin around. He looks so funny and he spins faster than he can manage so he falls down after a while. Maybe he´ll be a ballett dancer in the future :) ?

Passports & Hot dogs

Dad and Denver had to get a new passport. Mom and Milton sat by the sideline enjoying the weather. Milton got his first hotdog, because we forgot.. yes, we forgot to bring Milton´s three o´clock snack. He didn´t seem to mind :)

Blow On It

Sat at the dinner table today with mom and Milton. Nothing under the ordinary. Three people around the table and one on it, Denver. I´ve been writing a few times that Milton is starting to learn things, becoming a small person. Today he did something that he´s seen me do and probably mom to. He took a fork of spagettis and blew on it, because it was warm.. not a big thing for a non-dad but it was awsome to see as a dad :)

Midsummer 2009

Milton got to spend this years midsummer with his cousins, Lova and Wilda. They all went to grandmother and grandfather to have fun and from what I heard they had a blast.

Growth Update

17 months in a few days. Milton and I went to his 1,5 year checkup today. It´s been a while since last time so I was really courious. This time we sat and talked for a while. Caroline (our nurse) talked to Milton while we sat at a small kids table. She gave him crayons to see what he would do with them, then she gave him building blocks to see if he would use them. She also hid one building block in a paper towel and asked where it was. Milton "solved" them all. He also got to show his word skills. Caroline asked what words he uses and about how many. I gave her well over 10 words. Then Milton got to show that he knew bodyparts like foot, hand, ear, eyes, nose, mouth. After this little interview she measured him.

Yesterday we went to Norrtälje to see mom´s new horse. She´s buying a one year old mare. It passed the physical and today mom picked up her new horse. Milton and his little brother were so patient while we waited for the vet and checked out the new horse.
