R.I.P Elli

It was about 1 month since the last time we were in Finland. That time it was for a christmas celebration. 2 months ago the reason was the same as now, a funeral. Today we buried mummi. She lived alone for about 2 months before her longing for her life companion became to great and she followed him. I hope she found what she was looking for, I hope she found happiness.

Mummi left her loving family, who will remember her always. I am personally really glad Milton and Denver got to meet her. They probably wont remember her but hopefully they will remember small fragments with the help of the photos, on their blogs.

This day, this sad day was long but it gave all of us closure. The ceremony was really nice and the weather, cold as it was, was really nice. It snowed which turned the entire world white. It was beautiful. I carried my second casket in my life. It feels like an honor every time. I am one out of six who got to lay mummi and ukki to their last resting place.

After the ceremony we all went for a memorial trip. We ate, the priest talked and the children played. Like always, children lightens up the atmosphere.

Rest In Peace Elli.

Still Winter

This is what Milton & Denver saw when they got out today. I'm saying it again. I am glad they got a real winter and not a wet, cold, grey winter.

IIIt´s Party Time !

The magic date might have been yesterday but today´s the "party". Since we invited more then could fit into our small apartment we had the "party" at my job. I brought some movies and xbox360 games, for the kids to watch and play with.

We were a bit late with the cake and fixing but I think we managed to hold the "party" together okay. To original idea was to have a kind of open-gathering but since we ran late it turned into more of a normal party. That´s why I write "party".

The theme was tractor since Milton loves tractors. Sadly the only tractor decoration was the cake (next year we have to plan better). Mom made the cake and most other things while I took care of the technical stuff. We had hotdogs, a persian dish, snacks, drinks and for the kids, icecream.

Thank´s for all the gifts and all the guests for coming. Milton, Denver, mom and I had a great time. Later at night both Denver and the birthday child, Milton crashed. Denver missed his afternoon snooze but he was an angel almost the whole time.

In about 3 months it´s time for Denver´s first birthday. That one we will have in our apartment.

This is only of the girls but we also had Kevin, Jonathan and Chris. Karma went home earlier so she´s not in the picture either. Denver insisted on crawling so no-face-for-him.

Grattis Mr Milton.

Grattis på 2 års dagen big boy önskar Gudfar och tant Rebecka. Din pappa hade rätt när han skrev att det känns som det bara var 6mån sen du föddes, tiden flyger fram. Men stort stort grattis grabben. Vi syns senare idag på din fest.

Milton Turns 2

It finally happened. Milton has turned 2. He´s now been with us for two whole years. Time passes so fast. It feels like he was born 6 months ago.

Today Milton got something he hasn´t got before, a cake in bed with a gift. The whole family sat in bed watching Milton open his present.

Later on when mom worked in the stables the boys and I went to the city for a walk and meet up with uncle Michael and cousin Isabella. They came down from Mora for a quick visit. Isabella had never ridden a subway or even walked in Stockholm. We stopped for a snack at NK. Normally that means a banana or maybe a sandwich but today Milton got special food. Denver´s to young for special so he got his usal formula. After a long walk in a close park and the sourrounding areas we went back home for some real food. Denver was practising crawling while Isabella and Milton played for about 2 hours, then Michael and Isabella went to aunt Susanne for the night. Tomorrow they will meet again, on Milton´s birthday celebration. I think tomorrow will be a looong day :)

Happy Birthday My Son.
