So alike and so un-alike :)
This year and summer I've been watching and noticing the differences between Milton and Denver. Their general behavior are very much a like. Small differences in their mood when they wake up. Milton usually cries or are irritated, while Denver usually looks up in a basic relaxed mood or even smiles. Both likes to laugh and have really great humour.
Other differences ?
Milton - Strong in opinions, don't like to "give up", fights a lot to get his way and when he doesn't get it he can challenge and "make noise" for a long time. He does not like punishment and fights it every time. Milton's strong, sturdy and fast. He doesn't have the stamina to go on for too long, like when we ran track in Finland. He ran much faster then Denver but he got tired and stopped, ran again and stopped and so on. He finally stopped at around 900 meter. Milton has great focus in games and puzzles. He understands very quick and can easily lay a 60 piece puzzle. He works in sections and then puts the sections together. He has less focus in activities, like mini-golf. He likes it, he plays it but after a few holes (minutes) he looks around, plays around and we need to get him to concentrate on what he is suppose to do. Milton talks a lot and has a pretty good vocabulary. He asks lots of questions about words, meaning of words and repeats words you say. He also likes to give compliments, hugs and kisses.
Denver - Definitly have opinions but don't fight for them in great lengths, he can "give up" even if he do drag it out for a while. Denver can "make noise" when he doesn't get what he wants but Denver takes his punishment well, usually with no fightning, but sometimes he cries to show his irritation. Denver's flexible, hard-headed and got stamina. When we ran track in Finland Milton outran Denver in speed but Denver ran and ran without stopping for about 1.3 kilometers. Denver ran while I ran with Milton on my shoulders. Even after Denver stopped he took my hand and walked next to me. When Milton stopped earlier, he just stood still, didn't take a step until I put him on my shoulders, because -"I am to tired to walk". Denver likes puzzles and games but doesn't have "a plan". He just jumps in. He does like, understand and have great stamina in games, such as on smartphones or Tabs. It doesn't matter if it's "Angry Bird" or "What's the Difference" games (last is an educational game were you see 4 picture and need to take 1 out that does not belong). Denver has a normal vocabulary but does not ask a lot about words or what they mean. When it comes to physical activities Denver is very much on! When we played mini-golf, he did 18-holes straight thru. When he waited for his turn he went to another hole to play/practise. Denver also likes to dance. While Milton shakes his butt, Denver dances with his whole body in more of a break-dance manner, usually with a move that "ends the dance". Also when Milton and Denver got the chance to play field hockey (with a bat) on the boat from Finland. Denver jumped right into it while Milton mostly stood by and looked. At the end Milton also jumped in but he was very "cautious". Denver do give compliments, hugs and kisses but not as often as Milton and sometimes only because Milton did it first.
I can't wait to see what the future brings, and also how alike or different sibling number 3 will be.
