Renault - Silent car, 5 gears, diesel, 0.45litres/mil, comfort, eco-branded, free from taxes the first 5 years, can pull 1300kg, high standard model with AC, ABS, ESP etc. It felt good, quick enough on the throttle, easy to drive and smooth gearshifting.
Dacia - Silent enough up to about 3500 rpm then you can hear the diesel, 6 gears, diesel, 0.56litres/mil, 4x4, basic comfort (better for smaller people like Elina) but okay for me, can pull 1500kg, basic standard model with AC, ABS but no ESP (that´s an add-on) etc. It felt pretty good, not as quick on the throttle but then shift 1 is practically useless and is probably only for hard terrain, easy to drive and an okay gearshifting feel (not as smooth as the Renault). It did feel safer since you sit a bit higher. I was easy to drive and maneuver. It also looks better. Another positive thing is that almost everything is mechanical so the posibility for electrical failure is less. Only the front window, 4x4 knob, A/C... (I think that´s it) is electrical.. Ohh, and that thing that shows fuel consumption, how much is used, left etc.. don´t know the word for it.
